Emily McMullen is Program Assistant at The Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation. In this role, she supports the implementation of the Foundation’s programs and initiatives.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. McMullen was a UN research and advocacy intern at the International Crisis Group. There, she wrote on the exposure of civilian populations in Ukraine to hazardous materials as a result of war and the need to amend current humanitarian protocols to reflect such environmental dangers, conducted research on the UN, and tracked UN Security Council actions.

Ms. McMullen earlier worked as a litigation project assistant on a mass-torts case for Ankura, an international advisory firm, and taught English in Madrid. She has previous experience researching the national security implications of climate change for the US Ambassador to Palau. Ms. McMullen received her B.A., magna cum laude, in International Relations from Tufts University, where she also minored in Spanish and English.
